Schedule of the day and experience report
🚐8:00 AM|Gather at hotel lobby and depart!

Pick up and drop off is handled by a staff member who speaks Japanese. She was very cheerful and made me feel very safe!
She explained the flow of the day to us during the transfer.
📝Preparation before the tour
Sign a written pledge at the destination. It is recommended that you have overseas travel insurance.
🚶♂️To the entrance of the jungle (adventure from here!)

The guide was a local native and fluent in Japanese. There were about 10 participants, all Japanese.
We had an accident this time: the rash guard we had reserved in advance did not arrive, and the departure was delayed for an hour…!
🥾Trek through the jungle for 1.5 hours!

The trekking course is not a well-maintained path, but a series of rugged rocky terrain and steep slopes. It is quite hard. The going was downhill, but it took us about an hour and a half to walk carefully (we returned the same way on the way back).
The temperature was high, nearly 30 degrees Celsius, and hydration was a must! However, the guide took frequent breaks and kept an eye on our pace, so we felt safe.
🕳Arrive at the entrance of the cave!

After an hour and a half of walking through the jungle, the entrance to “Pagat Cave” finally came into view. Through a small opening surrounded by rocks, a space quietly leading underground appears.
Once inside, it is truly a “jet-black world“. It was so dark that we could not advance a single step without a light, so we carefully checked our footing as we proceeded. After passing through the rugged rocky terrain, you will come to a clear, jewel-like rock.
A clear, natural spring, like a jewel, spread out before us.
Since the tour started early in the morning, there were no other participants, and the surface of the water was completely clear.
The spring is much wider than expected, and the deeper you go, the deeper the water becomes. On the way there, we passed through a gap of only 1.5 feet between rocks – an open space.
🏊♀️Swimming in the cave!

Swim in the cave! The water is about 13 feet deep. Those who are confident swimmers can take off their life jackets and swim freely, and some even enjoy diving. Some people even enjoyed diving. They enjoyed the extraordinary experience of relaxing in the mysterious water for a while.
- Life jackets are OK, but those who can swim can take them off.
- The depth of the water is about 13 feet, and you can even dive.
- We were very happy to swim for about 30 minutes and take commemorative photos!
🏞Discovery of archaeological sites!

Going deeper through the cave, the ruins of ancient Chamorro dwellings and stone mills are scattered throughout the area.
🍙Pacific Ocean and Onigiri Lunch

After leaving the mysterious cave, we proceeded deeper into the jungle. Gradually, the view opens up and we are finally confronted with a panorama of the endless blue Pacific Ocean!
The coastline is rocky and rugged underfoot. The coastline was rocky and rugged underfoot. There were no paved roads at all, and the terrain remained exactly as it was in its natural state. The scenery was truly beautiful, but the clouds began to cloud over and the sound of thunder could be heard in the distance.
There are no safety ropes or fences, so you need to proceed carefully along the narrow and slippery path. One wrong step and you could fall off the cliff, so be careful where you step!
After such a thrilling experience, we sat down on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean for lunch.

Lunch consists of two rice balls, each containing Spam and grilled meat. The volume and taste are very satisfying, and the rice is truly exceptional while feeling the sea breeze!
🏔️Once again, we are on the road for an hour and a half – the return trip is grueling with a climb!

After enjoying the beautiful Pacific Ocean scenery and excellent rice balls, we will head back through the jungle for another hour and a half.
The path that was downhill on the way there is all uphill on the way back. The course is physically demanding, with rocky terrain, steep slopes, and high temperatures.
In addition, the harshness of nature hit us directly, as it rained on the way and we were attacked by a large number of mosquitoes when we stopped…. To be honest, it was quite hard on my physically inactive body.
However, thanks to the cold towels and drinks provided by the guide, we managed to get through it! If you are planning to participate in this tour, it is essential to take good care of yourself, dress well, and take measures to protect yourself from insects.
After returning to the entrance, it was time to change clothes. After that, the same cheerful Japanese staff drove us back to our hotel. He kept us relaxed with pleasant stories along the way, and we were able to end the tour with a relaxed feeling.
Arrival at the hotel was around 2 pm. Thus ended our 6-hour Pagat Cave adventure tour!
Actual episode: Beesan’s encounter with a foreigner
The Americans we passed on the way were wearing short sleeves, shorts, and beesants.
Their beesans were broken and they had numerous insect bites. We were all thankful that we had come on this tour. We were all thankful that we had come on a tour.
I definitely recommend using a tour! Participating on your own is a big risk.
Finally|Exploring Pagat Cave is an experience of a lifetime!

- Caves and springs reached through the jungle,
- A sense of adventure over the ruins,
- Run with a view of the Pacific Ocean…
This is not just a sightseeing tour, but a “real adventure” experience.
It requires some physical strength, but the sense of accomplishment after the tour is over is unmatched!
We especially recommend the “empty-handed” plan, where you can rent equipment such as a rash guard.
In addition, a vlog of the trip is also available on YouTube 📹
