It is only a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Across the street, you will see a cute red-roofed exterior, and that is Meskla Dos.
Meskla Dos is a popular authentic burger restaurant with two locations on the island of Guam, and this time we visited the Lower Tumon location in the Tumon area, which is convenient for sightseeing.

What kind of restaurant is Meskla Dos?
- Established in 2010, two stores in Guam
- The one we visited this time is the “Lower Tumon Store,” which has a more local flavor and a relaxed atmosphere.
- The exterior has a cute local flavor with a red roof and wooden walls.
- The restaurant has a wooden interior with seating for about 20 plus terrace seating.
- Credit cards and cash are accepted, and don’t forget to select a tip!
- A wide selection of about 30 different burgers to choose from!
The cash register counter is located at the back of the restaurant, and the kitchen can be seen through the glass for a live cooking experience. Near the entrance, photos from the time of the establishment and smiling local people are displayed, creating a somewhat warm atmosphere.

When we think of hamburgers, we tend to think of fast food, but Meskla Dos is more like a “gourmet burger ”** and authentic. The volume and taste are both excellent.
The lower area of Tumon, in particular, is a good place for those who want to enjoy a balance of local and touristy atmosphere.
By the way, don’t forget to tell them “**for here (in the restaurant)” or “to go (take out)” when ordering a hamburger (laugh)!
🧀 Guetes Cheese Burger（.50）
The royal cheeseburger. A juicy patty made from 100% Guam beef is matched with melted cheese, crispy lettuce and tomato. A simple but definite dish!
💙 Achang Bay Blue Burger（.50）
This burger is a must for blue cheese lovers. The aroma and richness of the slightly peculiar cheese complemented the flavor of the meat and made a big impact from the first bite.
Both are seasoned with Chamorro spices (traditional local spices), a great way for tourists to enjoy the local flavor.
The fries on the side are sprinkled with spicy peppers, like hot chili, and are so tangy you can’t stop eating them. The taste makes you want a beer!

Editorial Postscript / One Point Advice
This time, I was planning to eat in the restaurant, but it seems I ordered takeout by mistake, so I decided to eat in as is in the paper container I received.
Nevertheless, this paper container is surprisingly convenient! Although it is not very photogenic, it is spill-proof and easy to eat, so I recommend this style for those who want to gobble up a large burger.

If you want to enjoy Guam’s local burgers in a casual setting, Meskla Dos is the place to go.
The location is attractive because you can stop by while sightseeing, and once you try the thick, juicy Guam beef patty, you will be addicted.
