Hello, this is Ron.
In this blog, “Future Atlas by Ron,” I write realistic travel diaries of the places I have visited based on my experience of traveling to more than 15 countries, as well as my impressions and insights from my travels.
I usually travel on my days off while working full time in Tokyo, and I am active in my efforts to share the charm of international travel with everyone.
Two Lovers Point is a ‘must-visit’ spot on a trip to Guam.
It is a 5-minute drive from the centre of Tumon and is a classic spot where you can enjoy one of Guam’s best panoramic views.
The observatory is located on a cliff approximately 120 m above sea level and offers a magnificent view from Tumon Bay to Cape Orote. The emerald green sea in the daytime and the orange sunset in the evening – both times are breathtaking.
There is a romantic legend that couples who visit here will be united, making it a popular date spot. The site is also full of special touches such as the “Lovers” Bell’ and “Heart Key Chain Experience” that will leave you with a special memory.

What kind of place is Two Lovers Point?
Two Lovers Point is one of Guam’s most famous tourist attractions.
The name comes from a legend that a couple eloped and threw themselves off a cliff during the Spanish colonial period.
Today, it is popular as a romantic spot where ‘couples who visit together will be united forever’.
Summary of attractions and experiences at Two Lovers Point

1. Spectacular panoramic view from 120 m above sea level
Access to the observation deck is via a staircase.
It offers an excellent open-air view from Tumon Bay to Cape Ipao and Cape Orote.
Emerald green waters during the day and orange sunsets in the evening. Both times of day are recommended, but if you want a romantic experience, definitely go in the evening!
2. ‘TWO LOVERS POINT’ lawn spot that will make you look good
There is a lawn area around the observatory with a red heart and the words “TWO LOVERS POINT” painted on it, which is sure to be a photo-worthy spot!
This is the best place for social networking.
3. Heart Keychain experience ()
Purchase a heart-shaped keychain ($6) at the kiosk or ticket window, write your favourite message on it and attach it to the fence.
The fence is so jam-packed with keychains that it can be a bit of a challenge to find an empty space… but it’s also a memorable experience.
4. Lovers’ bell (jinxed to make your wish come true if you ring it three times)
The Lovers’ Bell is located on the observation deck and there is a jinx that if you ring it three times, your wish will come true. If couples ring the bell together, it will surely be a wonderful souvenir.
5. A good selection of souvenir shops
There is also a souvenir shop under the observatory that sells Guam sundries and Two Lovers Point exclusive goods.
This time we bought a mug and a postcard!
