Hello, this is Ron!
This time I would like to share with you my review of the Da Zhong Pudong Airport Hotel Shanghai that I stayed at during my trip to Shanghai.
I stayed at the Da Zhong Pudong Airport Hotel Shanghai (大衆浦東機場賓館), which I stayed at during my trip to Shanghai. **This hotel is perfect for those who arrive at Pudong Airport after a late-night flight and want to rest immediately without having to go to the city center. Here is a detailed summary of my impressions of the actual stay and information on the surrounding area.
In this blog, “Future Atlas by Ron,” I write realistic travel diaries of the places I have visited based on my experience of traveling to more than 15 countries, as well as my impressions and insights from my travels.
I usually travel on my days off while working full time in Tokyo, and I am active in my efforts to share the charm of international travel with everyone.

Lodging Background

The flight we used was Narita 10:25pm → Shanghai Pudong 1:20am (flight GK35/Jetstar).
Arrival time was after 1:00 a.m., and the subway service had ended. We could have taken a cab to the city, but it would have been physically demanding to arrive so late at night.
I chose “Da Zhong Pudong Airport Hotel Shanghai, which is directly connected to Pudong Airport.

👉 Click here for Agoda reservation page - Location: Directly connected to Pudong International Airport (crosswalk between T1 and T2)
- Front Desk: 24 hours
- Adress: Shanghai Pudong International Airport, 6001 Yingbin Blvd, Pudong, Shanghai, China 201202

The hotel is directly connected to the front desk by a private elevator, which was very convenient as it was only a few minutes walk from the airport.
How to get to the hotel directly from Pudong Airport in Shanghai

Upon arrival at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the hotel is located between Terminals 1 and 2. It is very easy to get to the hotel. When you exit the Arrivals Exit, look for the signs** for the “connecting passageway” or “subway station”.
- Proceed to the connecting passageway
Once you exit the Arrivals Exit, follow the signs for the subway station and connecting passageway. - Find the elevator that leads directly to the hotel.
When you are exactly halfway down the corridor, you will see a large pillar with the name of the hotel written on it. This is the landmark. Next to the pillar is an elevator that leads directly to the hotel. - Take the elevator to the front desk floor.
Once you take the elevator up, you will arrive directly at the floor where the hotel’s front desk is located. There are two ways to the front desk, but you can take either way. - Check-in
You can check-in at the front desk and go to your room, which is convenient for late-night or early-morning flights because you can rest immediately after arrival.
Room

- Clean, simple and comfortable
- Peace of mind to rest right after a late night arrival
- I had a good night’s sleep with little noise
I was impressed that the hotel was cleaner than I expected and easier to spend time in, without the old and cluttered atmosphere that is often associated with hotels directly connected to airports.
Breakfast and nearby restaurants

The next morning, wake up at 8:00 a.m.
There is a line of restaurants near the subway ticket gate directly below the hotel, which is convenient for breakfast.
This time, I had breakfast at “東方既白浦東機場餐庁” (affiliated with KFC Group) in the restaurant area on the first floor.
- Fried rice and beef noodles → 73 yuan (about 1,500 yen) for two items.
- It was delicious, with a light flavor and easy to eat.
There are plenty of eating and drinking facilities in the airport, so there is no need to worry about food.
Advantages and disadvantages of staying at the hotel
✅ Advantages
- Direct connection to Pudong Airport for late night arrivals
- 24-hour front desk service
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Reasonable price (about 9,000 yen) for a direct connection to the airport

❌ Disadvantages
- Not suitable for sightseeing in the city (only “for a nap or overnight stay upon late-night arrival”)
- Restaurant options are only available at the airport
